ITEM ARRIVED EARLIER THAN I EXPECTED,PACKAGING WAS GREAT,ITEM WAS EXACTLEY AS DESCRIBED. HOWEVER,I HAD A BIT OF A PROBLEM GETTING USB CORD FOR CELL PHONE FEATURE. I FINALLY FOUND ONE AND HAD TO PAY EXTRA SHIPPING COST. ALSO THERE WAS NO A/C ADAPTER WITH THE UNIT HAD TO PURCHASE IT AND PAID MORE SHIPPING. IF I READ CORRECTLY, THE MANUFACTURE DOES'T PROVIDE THESE ITEMS. BUT TO BE FAIR IT WAS STIPULATED IN THEIR DESCRIPTION OF PRODUCT THESE TWO COMPONETS WERE NOT INCLUDED. DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY THEY WOULDN'T OFFER THE TWO ITEMS ALONG WITH THE PURCHASE OF THE RADIO. AFTER ALL THE LACK OF THE A/C UNIT TO CHARGE AND USED TO POWER THE RADIO ELIMINATES THOSE FEATURES FROM BEING USED. ALSO N0 USB CORD PREVENTS THE FEATURE OF CHARGING A CELL PHONE.
THEY SHOULD ADDRESS THESE TWO PROBLEMS..

This is a great all in one emergency product. Functionally performs well.
It could be improved by:
* Increased battery capacity
* Improved switches and dials. Tougher construction, more tightly fitted and embedded into body i.e. non-protruding
* "Bump points" as this product is primarily intended for use in the outdoors i.e. "rubber" corners to absorb knocks.

I needed an emergency radio and I got one. It works just fine. I don't know why it has such poor reviews. It performs exactly how it is advertised. Did anyone really expect to get a superior multi-band radio for under 100 dollars? Did anyone really expect to use this radio for its sound quality? Get with it people, you get what you pay for, and this is a fine product when used as it was intended.
