I did research on arm band radios and found the comments about this particular radio very helpful. I recently joined a gym and wanted to be able to tune my radio to the programmed radio stations in order to hear the tv. I didn't want to spend a lot of money because I didn't know how I would like an arm band radio. I received it this past Friday and used it for the first time on Saturday. I am sooo glad I purchased this radio!! Although I had to remove one of the velcro peices and sew it on the opposite side (the strap was designed wrong), this is an awesome radio! I agree with the other posters that there should be a mute button. Other than the strap being wrong, this is an awesome radio. Great reception and sound quality. I would recommend this radio to anyone.

I did a days research to find a small, portable, comfortable radio to feed my talk radio habit (Air America) and found this gem. The button engineers did their job with this one; water dirt resistant and big enough. Speaking of big enough, the back-lit LCD can be easily read without my glasses. Reception is good, I can still hear inside stores, though not all the time or everywhere. As far as the newer model somewhere down the road I would add a mute button as the regular volume control still has quite a bit of volume left when turned down all the way before it completele dissapears; I still like to hear when the commercials are done and I am constantly turning it up and down. While you're at it couple the mute button with a timed shut off if not unmuted and save batteries, Al Gore would be proud. The arm band was a puzzle, all the velcro patches were on the same side which would not allow wrap around strapping so I had to glue a patch on the opposite side at the appropriate location and it works like it should. The ear buds that come with it are tolerable but should be replaced, I did some more research and finally settled on Koss KSC22 Sportclip Headphones that unobtrusively clip on and stay put, very low dangle factor. The TRUTH Rocks.......So Rock On.

Received this radio and I'm happy with the purchase. The armband also confused me until I read another review suggesting that I refer to the amazon picture for the Coby CX-84. There is no armband design flaw. When the radio arrives, pull out the armband and refeed it onto your brackets. The velcro ends get fed into the mounting brackets from each side. Feed over the bracket and velcro the tab to the underside of the band. When you're done, you'll have a velcro tab attached to the underside of the band on both sides of the radio. Get the fit/tightness right at this point because you slide your arm into the band to wear it.

Excellent low cost sports radio.
I am a serious jogger and use it every other day. Holds up well in all weather conditions. I also use it while working out at a gym as I cannot stand the piped in rock music that echoes throughout the gym!
Best money I have ever invested in a small versatile jogging radio!
